Summary
Doctors without borders had been the best decision that Eve had made in her life. Returning pregnant with twins hadn't been in her plan at all. She had taken on this assignment to run away from the hurt that David had inflicted on her. To hurt him and to appease her hurt she had a fling with a handsome Navy officer that she met in a bar in Louisiana while waiting for a connecting flight. What she didn't realize was that Matthew a Navy Seal had been assigned to protect the village she was going to be in. In her depressed and drunken state she confided in Matthew. She told him all about David and what he had done and how he had abandoned her. The last thing on her mind was to fall in love with Matthew, but fall she did. After being injured in rebel gunfire Matthew was forced to send her home. He wanted to keep her safe but all she felt was abandoned again. She didn't tell him she was pregnant, because she wasn't sure who the father was. The timing was too close to know for sure. The Valentine’s Day party at Pine Grove was not at all what Eve expected. She knew that David would be there, she had prepared herself for that, but what she didn't expect was Matthew to walk in looking for his twin brother David.
